Minimising our operational footprint by adopting energy-efficient practices, including reducing waste, recycling, implementing digital processes to decrease paper usage, utilising renewable energy sources, and supporting sustainable commuting through the cycle-to-work scheme.

Supporting and promoting employee well-being through the Employee Assistance Program, Lyra Health. Partner with Investors in People to foster a high-performance culture and continuous development. Actively promote diversity and inclusion, through senior leadership training. Charity partnership with Women’s Aid Grimsby and encourage community engagement by offering all employees two paid volunteer days per year.

Offsetting our Carbon Emission.
Since 2022, Advantage Finance, through our parent company S&U PLC, has partnered with Carbon Neutral Britain to measure, reduce, and offset our carbon footprint across Scope 1, 2, and selected Scope 3 emissions. Offsetting is delivered through their Woodland Fund, supporting certified UK reforestation and conservation projects.
As more of our customers choose to finance electric vehicles, we’re proud to see a similar shift among our own team. To support this transition, we’ve installed multiple EV charging points at our head office, making it easier for employees to make sustainable travel choices.
We're also committed to supporting green commuting through our Electric Car Salary Sacrifice Scheme for eligible employees, and a Cycle to Work Scheme for those living nearby. These initiatives are part of our broader commitment to reducing our environmental impact and building a more sustainable future.

When it comes to powering our buildings off-grid, our offices at Acorn Business Park in Grimsby are equipped with an abundance of solar panels—supporting our commitment to cleaner, renewable energy.
Inside the offices, all lighting is provided by energy-efficient LED bars. To further reduce energy consumption, PIR motion sensors are installed in all reception areas, kitchens, and toilets, automatically switching off lights when these spaces are not in use.

We offset our carbon emissions in partnership with Carbon Neutral Britain, supporting their Woodland Fund—a programme focused on certified reforestation and sustainable woodland management projects that protect wildlife, enhance biodiversity, and promote long-term ecological health.
Following the guidance of the Environmental Act 2021, Advantage Finance has a multi-stream recycling process in place, so the waste is separated at source. As part of our recycling drives, we ensure all WEEE waste (PC/electrical waste) is sent to appropriate recycling.
We are official members of the Ambassadors of Women’s Aid Grimsby sponsorship programme, as we continue to support their mission of helping women and children that have been affected by domestic abuse.
